Exceptional athletic venues, quality and affordable accommodations and recreational opportunities make Greensboro a true “Tournament Town.”

The Greensboro Coliseum Complex offers 23,500 arena seats, over 120,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space which can be portioned into four halls, leaving 60,000 sq. ft. for exhibits and a 5,000 seat general setup for basketball or other sporting events. A downsizing curtain in the arena can bring the seating capacity down to 4,500. The curtain can be raised in various sections to increase or decrease the arena seating capacity as event attendance changes. Another 30,000 sq. ft. of space is available in the new Pavilion, plus 20,000 sq. ft. of meeting space and a 298-seat theater offer a complete setup for any type of tournament or conference event.

The Irwin Belk Track at Aggie Stadium on the campus of NC A&T State University features eight 48 inch lanes of Mondo Super X Olympic style track surface. Dual direction run ways for long jump, triple jump, and pole vault with maximum of 165 feet. Multi-directional high jump area time limited approach. Shot and discus circles are brushed concrete. The track is IAAF approved.

Sports venues include two soccer stadiums, one at Bryan Park Soccer Complex with seating for 3,000 and 16 additional fields adjacent to MacPherson Stadium. The Spartan Soccer Stadium seats 5,040 at UNC Greensboro. The Carolyn S. Allen Athletic Complex offers four lighted combination softball/baseball fields with championship-quality fields sodded with Bermuda grass and fences at a distance of 300 feet.

Additional sports venues include The J. Spencer Love Tennis Center which offers 12 lit outdoor, championship composition courts which meet USTA specifications. The newly refurbished Barber Park features the impressive Simkins Indoor Sports Pavilion, which provides 8 plexi-court tennis courts and 4 combination basketball/volleyball courts.

NewBridge Bank Park - Greensboro's downtown stadium opened its gates to a crowd of 8,540 on April 3, 2005 with a Grasshoppers exhibition game against the Florida Marlins. This state-of-the-art facility features a 30' wide, open-air concourse, 36 concession points of sale, an outdoor sports bar, a kid-safe play park and the second largest videoboard in the minor leagues. Seating capacity currently stands at 7,499 which includes 5,300 chair back seats, 16 luxury suites and 2 grass berm and picnic areas, though the stadium was constructed to meet Class AA standards with room for expansion beyond.

Barber Park has an official Bronco Baseball Complex/Stadium, home field of the Eastern Baseball League, which includes a press box for tournaments, concessions area and stadium seating. Barber Park also has an 18-hole disc golf course and an outdoor amphitheater.

The Greensboro Sportsplex is a 106,000 square foot multi-sports facility offering hockey, basketball, volleyball, badminton and soccer. Suspended hard wood floors on eight basketball and volleyball courts offer the premier playing surface for both sports. Three state-of-the-art indoor soccer fields are very popular with collegiate and amateur athletes. The facility also has two sport court inline roller hockey rinks, offering an outstanding hockey program for all ages.
